This is one of the old buildings of Meng Hai Tea Factory established in 1938. Meng Hai Tea Factory is one the three biggest and earliest tea factories in Yunnan Province, with the other two Kunming Tea Factory and Xiaguan Tea Factory. The old Meng Hai Tea Factory is designed for manufacture of black tea. And the designers and pioneer technicians came from Keemum County of Anhui.
The factory had been producing Yunnan Black Tea till 1990s. Later it shifted to mainly produce pu-erh tea.
