This is a new white tea cultivar Golden White Tea. It is derived from the Anji Bai Cha. But it is different from the Anji Bai Cha in that it is jade yellow color and Anji Bai Cha is jade white color.
The Golden White Tea need plant in highland to turn the jade yellow color tender tea shoot in early Spring. And the special color just lasts around one week each year.
The jade yellow color tea leaf contains very rich amino acid. And the tea made by this tender jade yellow leaf has very brick mellow taste, brought by the high amino acid content.
Also please do not confuse Golden White Tea with Hunan Baojing Golden Tea. The Hunan Baojing Golden Tea is a tea cultivar whose color is as green as other tea cultivars. The reason why it is called as Golden Tea is that once in the history people used Golden to tell this tea is very precious and expensive.
