Now many people are wondering what Chinese Golden Tea is. Golden Tea is named by a tea cultivar originated in Baojing County of Hunan. It was said that the tea made by this cultivar sold very high price in Qing Dynasty. So local people called this tea Golden Tea. The cultivar has been widely planted in West Hunan mountain tea gardens since year 2006. The cultivar is special in that it is richer in amino acid content than most of other tea cultivars. Thus the tea made by it generally gives sharp clean taste.
Most of the tea made by Golden Tea cultivar is green tea. In Hunan, people are used to calling it Baojing Golden Tea.
